About ning being slow:
I suspect it's probably bad javascript. What do you think? I've noticed that JS causes Firefox to hang a lot. In Safari (i dont really like firefox), many JS sites give me a spinning wheel for a while... In firefox, the page would just take for ever to even appear... Is that what you're experiencing?

I don't get HANGS on every page, just some.

I know. No excuse.
